Kesher Pittsburgh is a community enlivening Judaism at the intersection of spirituality and social justice. We are an intergenerational, intersectional community that has different needs and desires at different stages of life. We build community through learning and unlearning, engaging in tikkun olam (healing the world), celebrating and mourning, and strengthening relationships with one another, locally and beyond.
We are people of different ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, positions on Israel / Palestine and understandings of Divinity. Interfaith and multi-faith families are welcome and wanted — Jewish identity, upbringing, or familiarity with practice are not prerequisites for participating or belonging. Our community is only as rich as our diverse identities, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
