Bruchim + Recustom
We’re happy to announce a new partnership with Recustom (formerly Haggadot.com), a platform for personalizing Jewish rituals. Soon, Bruchim resources will be available to download and personalize. We’d love for this partnership to be a community effort. If you’re an officiant, parent, or family member who has written an original birth ceremony, prayer, or poem to welcome a baby, please send it to info@bruchim.online. Selected pieces will be shared with full attribution, or anonymously if you prefer.
Welcome, Annie Prusky
We’re thrilled to welcome rabbinical student and Jewish educator Annie Prusky as Bruchim’s intern for the 2025–2026 academic year. Annie will help us create a curriculum for teaching the Jewish life cycle that is inclusive of brit shalom and can be used in Hebrew schools. Annie’s expertise and ruach will be tremendous assets as we expand our educational offerings.
Synagogue Outreach Success!
This summer, we’ve been connecting with synagogues—especially in Northern California—encouraging them to adopt language that openly acknowledges the choice not to circumcise. We’re delighted to share that Congregation Beth El (Berkeley) and Temple Sinai (Oakland) have updated their Life Cycle pages to reflect this inclusivity. Other institutions are preparing to update their websites too.
Collaboratory 2025
Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon and Rebecca Wald recently attended Collaboratory 2025, a three-day Baltimore gathering hosted by UpStart that brought together Jewish educators, community organizers, and philanthropists. The focus was on innovative approaches to community building. It was a wonderful chance for us to learn, share Bruchim’s mission, and forge new allyships.
Volunteers Needed
We need passionate volunteers to support a variety of projects—from community outreach and education to writing and event planning. If you’d like to lend your time and talents, email info@bruchim.online to learn more and join our crew.
Help “Drive” the Change

Every step forward you read about here—partnerships with Jewish innovators, inclusive synagogue policies, chances to gather—happens because a few people believe in this work. Right now, we have just five monthly recurring donors. If you’re one of them, thank you! If not, please consider becoming one. Even $5 or $10/month makes a meaningful difference when pooled with others.
Together, we’re driving the conversation—one synagogue, one family, and one child at a time.
With warmth and gratitude,
The Bruchim Team
